Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was Avital's birthday. She works in the office on the 7th floor so her mother prepared some delicious cheesecake to serve in celebration of her birthday. The students are still in Egypt so during our lunch break, we were invited to the conference room. It was fun to get together for a little break from our busy day. We were preparing for a jazz concert last night and a concert Sunday night with young, promising musicians. We are also preparing for the opening of a new art exhibit which features art work of high school students.

Joyce is heavily involved with the digs in Egypt and every year goes for one month to work on the digs. They are are really interesting couple from California.

Avital wanted a photo of everyone so we went outside. It was a beautiful day but windy.

I had prepared a special jazzy birthday tune to play for Avital at the organ so she came up to the auditorium. She's a really cute gal . . you would never guess that she is 37. She has two children, ages 9 and 6. One more wonderful day in Jerusalem!
